NexPoD Energy is hiring an Electrical Engineer to develop, test, and bring to production our DC-side BESS products โ from system architecture through BMS integration, protection coordination, and field commissioning. This is a product-building role. You will design circuits that go into real systems at real customer sites.
What You'll Own
- Develop electrical architecture for NexPoD's LFP-based BESS systems: 30 kW to 500 kW DC-side configurations
- Design, validate, and document electrical schematics: busbars, protection systems, HV wiring harnesses, contactor logic, and BMS communication interfaces
- Integrate and validate BMS protocols (CAN, RS485, Modbus) with battery packs and EMS platforms
- Define and execute electrical testing procedures: insulation resistance, hipot, OCV matching, protection relay coordination, and EOL functional test
- Lead BIS IS 16270:2023 and IEC 62619 compliance documentation for BESS systems
- Support NPI (New Product Introduction) from prototype through pilot production and mass production release
- Troubleshoot field installations and provide technical support to the commissioning team
- Define protection coordination, safety interlock logic, and earthing schemes for C&I BESS installations
You Are
- B.E / B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
- 4โ8 years in BESS, EV, solar, or power electronics product development
- Strong in electrical system design: schematics, protection coordination, and HV safety
- Experienced with BMS communication protocols and integration (CAN, RS485, Modbus)
- Familiar with IEC, BIS, or UL standards for battery or power systems
- Hands-on with electrical testing โ not just simulation
- Bonus: Experience with LFP pack-level electrical design, PCS integration, or TANGEDCO/CEA grid compliance
Why NexPoD
You will not be the tenth engineer on a product that ships a million units. You will be the engineer who defines how NexPoD's BESS product works electrically โ from the first prototype to the first customer site. Your schematics will be in the field. Your test protocols will be in the SOP. Your name will be in the design history.
